FAQ

  • WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE?
Well, that one might be too broad. Here at BinksterPDX we are just trying to help you have a little fun, relax, de-stress, treat yourself, and/or party down. Instead of racing through a crowded store on Friday after work, dodging all the people buying the dreary stuff, you can set up your weekend to be a great one easily through our site- earlier in the week, with a few clicks, from the comfort of your own home. Our goal is to bring you our favorite (mostly) local products priced at or below what you would pay at the grocery store. We will curate our list of items each week to reflect the best of what we've been enjoying lately, what's fresh and in-season, and staples we just can't do without. You are supporting a small business and its employees every time you order through us instead of a big retailer- thank you!
  • WHAT IS THE MEANING OF OTHER PEOPLES' LIVES?
Yes, you can gift an order to a friend in need. Why send just flowers, when you can send flowers, growlers, and more? You may also have noticed that some of our products are fundraisers. Here we have partnered with local makers and artisans to help uplift the community by donating a sizable percentage of each sale to individuals in need or charity organizations. The world has been a little daunting lately, and sometimes the steady stream of GoFundMe requests can be pretty heavy. At BinksterPDX we are trying to give our community a new way to support each other, a way that hopefully gives the artisans, the donors, and the charity recipients all a way to connect in an uplifting, productive, and personal way.
  • IS TIME MEANINGLESS? IS SPACE INFINITE?
Easy, tiger. Stay positive. But we're glad you asked. Our 2-hour delivery windows serve a few purposes. First, they give you the flexiblilty to get what you want when you want it, without waiting around all day. Second, they give us the opportunity to make sure we are not delivering alcohol to minors, something we legally have to do (in other words, an adult must be present to receive alcohol deliveries). Third, since our beer arrives cold, our Slushee Margs arrive frozen, and our flowers and food items don't want to sit on a porch all day (we asked them), you'll want to know when it's time to bring in your goodies. We can only deliver to a few local zip codes at this time. Delivery is free to 97211, 97212, 97213, 97214, 97215, 97218 & 97232 if you spend $35 or more. Otherwise, in those areas, it's $5. We hope to expand our delivery zones in the future. In the meantime, if you live elsewhere in Portland, please contact us about special deliveries- we may be able to accommodate you. If you need to change your delivery window after your order is placed, just email us at binksbarpdx.com or call/text to 503-473-6298. If there are no delivery windows left, don't panic! You can still schedule for pickup at Binks Bar. Again, just contact us.
  • ...AND WHAT ABOUT MASON JARS?
Well after all those softball questions you've finally hit us with the hard stuff, eh? You are absolutely welcome to keep the mason jar for yourself free of charge, but if you've simply accumulated too many you can leave them on your porch and we will pick them up when we do your next delivery.
  • HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH?
"Everything in moderation, including moderation." -Oscar Wilde Let's start out with once a week deliveries- order by Wednesday at midnight for your delivery on Friday. But we plan to add more order/delivery days in the future. We'll talk soon.
